In celebration of the coming of spring and the importance of encouraging literacy in the community, the Woodland Public library is pleased to announce its Spring into Reading challenge starting on March 20th. We invite all ages to read three books before Memorial Day to win a prize at the library. Younger children can be read their books from a parent, older sibling, or caregiver to earn their prize.
We are offering this reading challenge through Beanstack, a new free library service we are offering patrons. Beanstack offers book recommendations for children and allows patrons to log reading, and participate in reading and activity challenges like this one. Patrons can register on Beanstack from the front page of the library website, or on one of the library’s catalog computers. Once registered, you can Spring into Reading and earn badges for each book read. After you log three books you will able to come to the library to pick up your prize
